I have witnessed many very bad things happen. Mostly done by my brother but I never tell. I guess its like a thing we have that I just don't tell on him though I should because all he dose is rat me out all the time. Sometimes I find out things that I just keep to myself. I think maybe cause its akaward to talk about but mostly cause i'm just that way.
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me of me and my older sister she always rats me out but when she does something i just keep my mouth shut.
DeleteI think its a lot harder to to i guess "tell on someone" especially if there one of your friends or family members you know what there doing is wrong but you don't want to loose there trust.
DeleteIt depends on the situation if i will get involved or not. Usually I don't get involved but if there were a situation were I had to I would but so far those types of situations haven't happened to me. If you witness someone stealing the obvious right thing to do is to tell the manager or someone of authority at the place your at but I'm not sure if everyone would actually act upon what they see. It seems like the obvious answer is to just say yes Ii would report it and help or get involved however its not always that simple because when put into a situation like that it is sometimes difficult to get involved and you just ignore it and hope someone else saw and someone else will help.
ReplyDeleteI think your absolutey correct, some people are just to afraid to tell or just think "oh thats none of my business" and walk away.
DeleteI agree with what you said about it depends on the situation. I also can relate because i don't like to get involved either.
DeleteI agree, Because some people have never experienced bad things before and the first bad thing they witness could be shocking and they will be scared to tell someone because they don't want to get involved.
DeleteI totally agree with what you had said! It does depend on the situation, because you don't really know what can come your way...so sometimes its best to stay out of it, but sometimes its best to get involved to help someone else out.
DeleteThis reminds me of the time i seen a drug deal go on at the store. They did the deal and then both of the people left the scene. I told my friend about it but in a joking matter not in a serious way so he would tell the police. I did not contact the police because i did not want to have to answer a bunch of questions. I just for got about it and left it alone.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. If it did not involve you or you know it won't become a threat to you just go on with your day .
DeleteI agree, id hate to have to answer all those questions and get involved. It's their business what they are doing and i would leave it that way.
Deletehonestly its not the worst thing that you didn't tell like its not really anyones situation to be in and who would want to answer 1000 questions about something you barely knew about.
DeleteI agree with you because I would rather let it be instead of telling the police and having to answer all those questions they have to ask.
DeleteI witnessed Paul George SNAPPED HIS LEG! He is an NBA small forward and he went up for a layup and when he went down his whole left tibia snapped in half. It was one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen. I was disgusting for me especially because 2 years ago i dislocated my right knee in a similar manner. It was on live T.V for Paul so everyone saw it. Millions saw the tragic accident . I told everyone .
ReplyDeleteWell I don't know if this is considered me witnessing it, but it happened to me...and in this circumstance it could include a lot of people. I had been getting bashed on because of my religion and my religion includes other people so they were technically getting bashed on too. I was getting called stupid, and my religion was the reason why the world is so chaotic. So, what I did was...I confronted the person, because your not just bashing on me, but plenty of other people around the world that are that religion and don't have a say in what you said about their religion. I didn't tell anyone thats an adult (at the school) because I don't really know what a school can do about this topic, so I just left it be and handled it myself.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, sometimes there is nothing teachers can do to help although they want to think they can. Sometimes you just have to handle the situation yourself.
DeleteI have witnessed people making fun of other people but i never told anyone. When i saw it happen i guess it didn't faze me that it was considered bullying. I told my mom but not someone who could actually handle the problem through school. It stopped after that day though so maybe someone else saw and told. They got called down to the office and i didn't realize it was a whole group who was doing it.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest with you, i have never witnessed anything bad happen. Maybe its because I'm in the right place at the right time. It also might be because a lot of things don't seem bad or not wrong to me. If i did see something bad happening maybe like bullying or steeling someones stuff, then i would help and try t prevent it from happening.
ReplyDeleteI agree I have never witnessed anything bad. If I did see something bad happen I would do something about it
DeleteI once saw a person in a store that stole a drink from the cooler . That person ran away so fast . I couldn't really see what type of drink it was . That person was slick and no one saw it except me . I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want anything to deal with the whole inconent .
ReplyDeleteI disagree with the not telling anyone because they did something wrong. Also when people steal from stores and get away from it they make the workers pay for what was stolen.
DeleteI have witnessed something wrong once before. At the time I was young maybe like still in elementary school. I was in target with my family and me and sisters went to go look at the toys and there was a bag of mini parachute man and my sister opened it and took one. I thought it was wrong because it was stealing but then again it was just a little toy so I thought it wasn't a big deal. I didn't tell anyone about it , because one I didn't want to get my sister in trouble and two it was a little toy its not like it was something big like a phone. She got away with it so everything turned out fine.
ReplyDeleteI agree on not telling because it's really a small toy I don't see whats the big deal . She got away with it at least she didn't get caught by someone else seeing her steal the toy .
Deletehave seen this before, and i have done it too, but when i did this i had the worst feeling i would get caught so i put it back.
DeleteOne time I woke up and I saw my brothers playing with a curling iron. My older brother took the curling iron and told my little brother to touch it. My 3 year old little brother didn't want to touch it, so my older brother picked up the curling iron, opened my little brothers hand and wrapped it around the heated wand. Before my brother could even wrap his while hand around it I snatched the wand out of his hand and smacked him. My little brother ended up burning his fingers. I told my mom and she sent my brother to his room, I told because my little brother wouldn't listen to any but my mom.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you helping and telling your mom, because the situation could have gotten worse if you didn't help.
DeleteWhen I was in the third grade I saw some kids making fun of my friend. Even as a kid I knew this was wrong and without even thinking of the consequences I stood up for her. I never told a teacher about what happened and instead went straight to the source. This stopped the bullying but we never spoke of it again, we didn't find it necessary. Back when we were younger it was okay to do things like that but nowadays it would back fire.
ReplyDeleteIn my life honestly iv seen a lot of "wrong doings" have i always told?no. Lets be honest when we see certain things we usually don't tell because we don't want to be seen as a snitch. Sadly but true enough thats mostly what this generation is worried about being called out no one liking us no one wanting to be around us,so we act like we didn't see anything. On multiple occasions iv seen bad things happen like for example iv seen my younger siblings doing things they really shouldn't be but i would never tell because they have stuff on me that happened in the past that they sure wouldn't mind bringing up to my parents. We've all seen a kid in school getting "cracked" on it might hurt them but we walk away ill be completely honest iv seen it and haven't done anything. Also fights in school when i see one i don't run immediately and tell a teacher i sit there and watch just like most other people, in all honesty its 2014 almost 2015 people should really be able to stand up for themselves by now and if not then they should tell or avoid getting themselves in those situations. People always take pity on people saying "ohhh they can't stand up for themselves so you should have told someone when you seen it" um no. Its not that hard to stand up for yourself like how do you expect someone to even do something for you if you can't do it for yourself.
ReplyDeleteI've witnessed something bad a whole bunch of times, and I always help if it's in my reach. Like this kid on my bus got bullied all you have to do is say stop or go and tell someone but kids get bullied everyday. People just don't like to do anything about it because it's called "snitching" but it really isn't. It's called helping. If you see something getting out of control I think you should go and tell the teacher. I think of it as treat others the way you wanna be treated, and if you want help I think you should give others help.

ReplyDeleteI have never witnessed a crime or a wrong doing in my life but everything either happens behind me, the moment I leave the room, or in a different area that I'm really close to. The only thing I truly witness is the aftermath of the crime, fight, murder or whatever, then here on out when people ask me "who started it?" or "Describe what the criminal looked like." Then in just standing there having no idea what their talking about or what just happened behind me but I would always throw them to someone else saying that they know what happened and not me. Now you must be thinking "what is the point of this post when it doesn't go with the question or topic" or "what does this even mean" right? Well…
I don't know but hey, it's something.
I have witnessed a very bad thing before. I was in a Walmart parking lot and saw a cop buying drugs from a drug dealer. I was with my dad and cousin. we did not tell anybody, although we should have. It made us realize this world is a very messed up place
ReplyDeleteI have witnessed someone getting picked on. But haven't really told anyone at school about it. The only Person I probably told was my dad. But By the time I actually realized they picking on someone there was a teacher that was trying to stop the situation. Which they ended up stopping after the teacher came up to them
ReplyDeleteThat's good, most teachers and people in charge know when something is going on. You shouldn't just watch the bullying though, you should jump in and help the victim no matter what position or situation that person is in. If I see bullying I go up and help the victim and take him/her away from the situation and try and become friends with that person. I don't help everyone or "snitch" on everyone I see, but I usually help out the victim who is getting bullied or something.
DeleteI haven't witnessed many bad things happen. But when I did i don't tell anyone because If I did something bad i wouldn't want anyone to say anything. If it is a serious situation like a murder I would tell the police because they can handle it. If I witnessed something I would sometimes tell someone I trust. Usually when I witness something not as bad as a murder I don't tell anyone.
ReplyDeleteSome times I tell people if I see something going on that is serious. Like this morning something happened and a girl left the class and didn't tell anyone she was leaving. She had used my computer and was talking to some guy and he told her to meet by the guys bathroom to talk about things, which she had already told me what has been going on. People were looking for her and I had told one person (which is a friend) and I didn't want to tell anyone else because people with think of me as a "snitch". If I see something like somebody stealing, yes!, I will go tell the store manager and employes(or who ever is in charge) that I saw people being thieves, but I would make it so (s)he doesn't know it was me who "snitched" on them.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I have a horrible memory so im gonna make a story up. So this one time way way way back in tim when i was a youngster, ok so I was 8 years old and my two dogs were fighting in the kitchen. So i tried to break it up but they wouldn't stop. And one of my dog hit the island and knocked the vase over and shattered everywhere So i had to pull carry them out of the kitchen all bloody and cut because of all the glass that was on the ground.I put a bunch of band aids on them and they got better after a couple of days. And that was the story of me witnessing my two dawns fight.
